Mr. Skip

It is with saddened hearts we share that Mr. Skip passed this weekend.  Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers at this time. Mr. Skip’s family asked that we pass on this note to his La Print family regarding services:

"We are planning a "Sweet Remembrance" for our sweet Skip at the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge  on Goodwood Blvd this Wednesday evening, August 24th, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Please bring any stories, pictures and remembrances and, if you feel so inclined, a small portion of something sweet to share.

Please share the post about the remembrance for Skip with anyone you know that also knows him."

Now Enrolling

now enrolling baton rouge montessori

We have limited openings for the 2016-2017 school year and are now accepting applications to fill the remaining spots.

If you wish to enroll your child or if you'd like to learn more about Montessori education in Baton Rouge and tour our beautiful school, please schedule a visit by calling 769-2255 or send us an email through our Contact Page.

We also invite our Early Childhood parents to schedule an observation in our Elementary class and see firsthand what the Montessori Method looks like beyond kindergarten. Our Elementary program builds upon the early childhood foundation by adding greater levels of responsibility and more challenging academics. The Montessori elementary curriculum is carefully designed to meet the unique developmental needs of the 6 to 12 year old child while continuing to cultivate a lifelong love of learning.

Come see and experience the advantages of an authentic Montessori education!

Montessori Glass Classroom

Our Montessori Glass Classroom Open House was inspired by the 100th anniversary of Dr. Maria Montessori’s visit to the United States in the fall of 1915 for the World’s Fair Panama-Pacific International Exhibition, where she created a glass-walled classroom to demonstrate her revolutionary new method of education.

The purpose of our open house was to celebrate this important milestone in the history of Montessori education in the United States and to share our love for the Montessori Method with the Baton Rouge community.

The event was a great success as our students beautifully demonstrated classroom work while the staff mingled with visitors explaining the demos, answering questions and engaging with the wonderful families who attended.

If you missed the opportunity to attend our open house last October, please don't hesitate to schedule a visit during regular school hours. We will be enrolling soon for Fall 2016 and welcome you to schedule a guided visit via our Contact Page.
