Wear TEAL for Ovarian Cancer Awareness!

International Peace Day, observed around the world in September, brings attention to a range of important causes. September is also Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.

This year, La Printaniere honors both by partnering with the Kelli Leigh Richmond Ovarian Cancer Foundation and Kelli’s Kloset.

On Friday, September 20, we are celebrating by:

SHOWING OUR COLORS

We’re wearing TEAL in in support of Ovarian Cancer Awareness.

ABOUT KELLI’S KLOSET:

The Foundation was begun in memory of Kelli Richmond, aunt of a La Printaniere Elementary student and classmate & neighbor of Ms. Erin and her husband.

During her 2 1/2 year journey with Ovarian Cancer, Kelli noticed that most patients gain and lose weight during treatments, often changing clothes sizes considerably. She was very concerned about those who lack the resources to buy new clothes while undergoing cancer treatment. Kelli’s dream was to create a place where all women with cancer could access clothes that fit for FREE.

Thanks to Kelli and her parents, Kelli’s Kloset has provided free clothing and accessories for women with cancer, their children, and all children battling cancer since June 2014.
