Louisiana Department of Education
La Printaniere is a Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE)-approved nonpublic school. To be approved by BESE, schools must offer an education comparable to the quality of public schools, as well as comply with health & fire inspections, instructional time requirements, and other state regulations. We maintain approval on an annual basis and are compliant with Brumfield vs. Dodd, a federal court order that prohibits discrimination.
Louisiana Montessori Association
La Printaniere is accredited by the Louisiana Montessori Association (LMA), which is the state-recognized governing body for nonpublic Montessori schools in Louisiana. To achieve accreditation, schools must meet stringent requirements in the areas of authentic Montessori curriculum and materials, teacher certification, and physical space specifications. We maintain accreditation on an annual basis and submit to site visits every five years.
American Montessori Society
La Printaniere is an American Montessori Society Member School. Staff regularly take advantage of AMS continuing education opportunities and we are a participant in their Pathway of Continuous School Improvement.

We have been designated as a Breastfeeding-Friendly Workplace Champion by the Louisiana Breastfeeding Coalition. This designation is awarded for providing time, space, and support for employees who breastfeed or pump milk to feed their babies.
